Day 10

We started in Bristol and then headed over to Birmingham via Gretna. The Supercharger in Birmingham is located in a private parking lot that belongs to the airport. It’s rather tricky to find and there isn’t much in regard to amenities, in fact there is nothing but those two SC and a bunch of parking spaces.

After this pitstop we continued our route along the magnificent coast line of Scotland. Even though we sat in 2 massive traffic jams, we still managed a total of 960km today.

During our route we have come across “regular” charging stations with CCS, type2 and CHAdeMO Plugs. All thats needed to re-charge is a free app and a credit card..This just shows that Spain and Portugal still have room for improvements when it comes to simplicity for the payment process.

Heute sind wir in Bristol gestartet und von dort via Gretna nach Birmingham gefahren. Der SC Birmingham befindet sich im abgesperten Parkplatz des Flughafenpersonals. Er ist daher schwer zu finden und es gibt dort absolut nichts ausser Parkplätzen und den zwei SC!

Von hier sind wir an der schönen Schottischen Küste Richtung Washington gefahren. Total ca. 960Km haben wir heute geschaft. Leider hat uns ein grösserer Stau viel Zeit gekostet. Aber wir sind mit dem Tagesziel happy.

Unterwegs gab es oft normale Ladesäulen mit CCS, Typ 2 und CHAdeMO Steckern. Diese können via gratis App benutzt werden. Ein guter Beweis, das es auch vernünftig geht und die Spanier und Portugiesen noch viel Verbesserungspotential haben!
